Up for an auction is a Thanatos fitted with 3x CCC rigs in Inaro 0.8 security system, 4 jumps from Jita and with 8 asteroid belts in system.
Starting/minimum bid: 3bil
Minimum bid increment: 100mil
Reserve: 5bil
Sniper rule: 15min
Closing date and time: September 21st, 2008 @ 1800 EVE-Time

Dear bidders or interested parties,
To answer some of the questions that were put forth, and to clarify any arguments:
A carrier in empire can indeed deploy 15 Mining Drone IIs, or for that matter any drones including fighters, as long as the rules set fourth for Capital ships located in empire are not broken. These rules were, I believe first mentioned or set by GM Grimmi and quoting them:
"We have therefore decided to set the following rules for capitals in high sec:
1. Capital ships may under no circumstances be used for aggression.
2. If at war, or with war declaration pending, you may not take your capital ship out of station.
3. You may not use your capital shipÆs attributes to gain any sort of advantage over other players while in high security space.
4. Breach any of the above and receive 2 weeks ban and off to low sec with your capital."

Besides the fact that you have an opportunity to own a capital ship that can strip belts with very little effort (while you are watching a movie or perhaps playing with your other toon or even fragging mates in CS:S  ), owning such a ship has a "collectors" value as well, as it is no longer possible to have your capital built in empire. For those who seek to be famous, this is a great toy that attracts our newer, to the game, pilots who have not seen such a ship before - it is a tourist attraction... we all know how Mr. Chribba got due to this.

That is correct, it ended up being moved back to Inaro.

No, the carrier is not going to be moved anywhere as long as the owner does not violate the capital ship rules in high security space quoted by me earlier.
The carrier is still being auctioned. The auction is still open.

I was considering a trade for this item but have been contacted by numerous parties asking for the auction to go through. So i'm extending the auction 48 hrs till Tuesday September 23rd 1800 EVE-Time.
